Don't get me wrong here: I loved the FAC, and I still load it up on the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine sometimes. It was my introduction to the existence of technosexuality as something other people experienced - not just something I felt a bit weird for feeling. Through it, I discovered a wealth of material and links to other related sites which opened up whole new worlds to me. A lot of the material I found in those days haunts me to this day, and some of it taunts me (Mainly by seeming to not exist any more).
That said, Fembot Central and Fembotwiki are far more organized, active, and reliably available than the FAC (or even Gynoid Gallery) ever was.
I do not miss the FAC or Gynoid Gallery, because I don't consider them gone. I consider them to be the foundation on which our current community was built. Their ingredients were mixed into more robust systems. Instead of one or two of us acting as a nexus through which material could be sporadically made available, we are a large community with active members finding existing material and generating new material on a near-daily basis. I don't miss them, because Fembot Central and Fembotwiki are the things that FAC and Gynoid Gallery strove to be.
